PlayStation are thanking players for staying at home to help contain the spread of COVID-19. They have asked that their community continues to follow guidelines which includes social distancing and continuing to stay at home where possible.

To thank players for doing their part, Sony has launched the Play At Home initiative. This initiative will provide free games to customers as well as funding small independent game studios who are experiencing financial difficulties during this time.

Sony are currently offering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free digital download on the PlayStation. Once downloaded, these titles will be yours to keep forever. The games are available for a limited time from April 15 at 8pm PDT until May 5, 2020 at 8pm PDT.

Sony have put aside $10 million to help their independent game development partners. This funding will help the businesses during this time.

Let us know if you have downloaded the games from PlayStation. Sony has said that the downloads may not be as fast as usually as internet access has been limited around the world due to the volume of users at the moment.
