Due to the current lockdown restrictions, restaurants are limited to offering delivery and collection only services. One provider who is still operating with guidelines in place is Just Eat.

You may have already ordered through Just Eat recently but if you haven’t, all orders are now offering a contact-free delivery option as standard. This will work for all payments made using card or other payment services. The delivery person should leave your food at your doorstep and either them or the app will notify you letting you know it’s there. There is still a comments box if you need to leave more specific intructions.

Customers are still able to pay by cash if necessary. Just Eat have advised that cash should be put in an envelope or similar and that they should also keep the government recommended distance.

So you can still use Just Eat to order a takeaway at the moment. Please follow the guidelines they have set out to minimise any risk.

NHS staff are able to get 25% off their order as thank you for being front line workers. Further information on this can be found at https://www.just-eat.co.uk/explore/nhs-discount.
